From North Carolina horse paddocks to sunny South Florida sidewalks, our journey has always circled back to one truth: pets are family. Here’s why we love what we do—and how that passion shapes every visit.
Owner’s Story
I’ve always had a knack for connecting with animals and was blessed to share childhood with a lively collection of family pets. Over the years as both a sitter and business owner, I discovered that bonding with each dog or cat as an individual is the secret sauce to stress-free vacation care.
Armed with a B.A. in Psychology from Queen’s University of North Carolina, I still gravitated toward wagging tails and gentle purrs—they bring me the deepest happiness. While at Queen’s, I volunteered at Aldersgate Nursing Home in Charlotte. Two full-time Golden-Retriever “residents” roamed the halls, and watching the joy they sparked in the elderly sealed my belief that dogs are extraordinary creatures.
In 2015 I founded Huntersville Pet Sitting and earned five-star reviews until March 2020. With my daughter now in college, I traded Carolina pines for Fort Lauderdale palms to be closer to parents and extended family. Growing up in Plantation Acres (back when roads were still dirt) I cared for two Bay horses—learning the patient, gentle approach I now use with every client’s pet.
Today my own crew features Finley, a spirited black Goldendoodle, and Sir Winston Churchill, a part-time English Bulldog who keeps us laughing. Every animal’s personality fascinates me, and caring for them remains a thrill.
I live in Rio Vista and proudly provide vacation services exclusively in Fort Lauderdale and Plantation. Thank you for trusting me with your furry loved ones—I promise to treat them like my own.
